Depending how you play, we may process:

• Account details — email address and authentication credentials when you sign in or register.
• Profile information — display name and related profile fields you choose to set.
• Guest sessions — temporary anonymous identifiers when you play as a guest so we can keep you in lobbies and matches.
• Gameplay data — lobby membership, match results, scores, leaderboard stats, and presence (for example whether you are online or in a game).
• Technical data — basic device and connection information needed to run the service securely (such as session cookies and security logs).

3. How we use your information

We use this information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve Vallelujah
• Authenticate players and maintain your session
• Run matchmaking, private lobbies, and live games
• Show leaderboards and profile information
• Prevent abuse, debug issues, and keep the service secure
• Respond to support requests you send us

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your gameplay data for third-party advertising.

4. Legal bases

Where UK GDPR / GDPR applies, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the game), because we have a legitimate interest in operating a secure multiplayer service, and/or because you have consented where consent is required.

5. Service providers

We use trusted infrastructure providers to host Vallelujah — including authentication, database, and hosting services (for example Supabase and our application host). They process data only on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, protect your session, and make core features work. These are required for the service and are not used for advertising tracking.

7. How long we keep data

We keep account and gameplay records for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate leaderboards, anti-abuse measures, and legal obligations. Guest data may be shorter-lived. You can ask us to delete your account data by emailing hello@ek-games.com.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

9. Children

Vallelujah is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of Vallelujah after changes means you accept the updated policy.
